CARL PANZRAM: THE SPIRIT OF HATRED AND VENGEANCE WORLD PREMIERE FILM SCREENING

Award winning filmmaker John Borowski attends the world premiere screening of his film, Carl Panzram: The Spirit of Hatred and Vengeance. Chicago’s historic Portage Theatre will host the film on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 4:00pm. Borowski and cast of the film will be present for Q&A and autographing DVD’s after the show. The show will also feature vendors, props and costumes from the film, and raffles for unique prizes.

A lifelong criminal and murderer, Carl Panzram befriends Henry Lesser, a young jail guard at the Washington DC jail in 1928. After hearing of Panzram's torture, Lesser sends Panzram one dollar and convinces the killer to write his autobiography while secretly supplying him with pencil and paper. Panzram writes over 40,000 words documenting his entire life of and crime, torture, rape, and murder.

From John Borowski, award winning director of H.H. Holmes: America's First Serial Killer and Albert Fish: In Sin He Found Salvation, comes the definitive docudrama chronicling the entire life and crimes of Carl Panzram. Included is footage of Panzram's original handwritten papers from San Diego State University, location footage from Leavenworth Penitentiary, Clinton Prison and Red Wing Youth Correctional Facility, and an exclusive interview with Panzram's jail guard Henry Lesser. John Dimaggio, Bender from Fox’s Futurama, provides the voice of Carl Panzram.

On August 13, Borowski will be appearing The Crime Scene 2, a night of murder, music, and art at Locals Only Art and Music Pub, 2449 E. 56th St., Indianapolis, IN at 7:00pm. The venue will feature The Murder Junkies, The World Famous Crawlspace Brothers, Endiana, Eerie Von, Rich Hillen, Jr., Joe Hiles, James Jeffrey Paul, Charles D.
